Moving History: A Walk Through Old NDG

Join us as we reveal three hundred years of history that you never knew was all around you!
Starting at the NDG Park chalet, we stroll through the heart of the rural village founded by wealthy francophone farmers. They saw their rural way of life fall to an invasion of suburban residents who were the forebears of the current chic neighbourhood that is NDG today. The tour will end at the Maison Hurtubise, where the old village began.
This walk will be led by NDG en Histoires. Founded in 2022 as a project of the NDG Community Council, its mission is to preserve and promote the rich histories of Montreal’s Notre-Dame-de-Grâce neighbourhood. We pursue this through such activities as conferences, exhibitions, walking tours, archival conservation, and creative community projects.
